Rate & Request Limits

Both limits apply before authentication ever runs — a rate-limited or oversized request never reveals whether the access key attached to it was even valid.

Rate limits

OperationStandard limit
Reads (GET)60/minute
Writes (POST/PUT/DELETE)5/minute

Limits are keyed per client IP (same resolution chain as IP allowlisting: cf-connecting-ip → x-forwarded-for → socket address). Exceeding one returns:

429  {"error": "Too many requests! Please try again later."}

These limits are set and controlled by Network14.cloud, not customer-configurable — they're tuned to keep the service healthy for everyone. If the standard limits don't fit your traffic pattern, email contact@network14.cloud about a higher limit for your key.

Request size limit

Requests over 10MB are rejected by the request-ID middleware, before routing or auth:

413  {"error": "Request payload too large. Maximum size is 10MB."}

In practice this only matters for secret-value, since every other header is small — and the value itself is separately capped at 1MB (see Error Reference).
